Supporting Green, Low-Carbon, and Sustainable Development

Green Design

The factory adopts the “3R” principles of green design to conserve energy, reduce consumption, and improve energy efficiency.
3Rs (reduction, reuse, and recycling)

Green Chemical Processes

Avoid and minimize the use of substances that are toxic and harmful to human health and the ecological environment.

Innovative Process

Adopt innovative processes to enhance atom economy and reduce the generation of three wastes and hazardous substances.
Atom economy: All raw materials are converted into the final product to the greatest extent possible.

Recycling

Promote resource recycling, maximize the utilization of raw materials, and extract maximum value from products.

Energy structure 2017 Strategy for the Energy Production and Consumption Revolution (2016–2030) Clarify the strategic objectives of the energy revolution and promote the clean utilization of fossil fuels and a revolution in energy consumption.
2021 Opinions on Fully, Accurately, and Comprehensively Implementing the New Development Philosophy and Doing a Good Job in Achieving Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Clearly establish a green, low-carbon, and circular economic development system; increase the share of non-fossil energy consumption; reduce carbon dioxide emission levels; and enhance the carbon sink capacity of ecosystems.
2021 Action Plan for Peaking Carbon Emissions Before 2030 Clearly define key tasks for peaking carbon emissions and steadily advance actions to achieve peak carbon emissions.
Low-carbon technology 2021 Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Establishment and Improvement of a Green, Low-Carbon, and Circular Development Economic System Build a market-oriented green technology innovation system. We must encourage research and development of green, low-carbon technologies and accelerate the commercialization of scientific and technological advances.
2022 Implementation Plan for Technological Support of Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality (2022–2030)

Establish an energy technology innovation system that aligns with the goals of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality, strengthen technological research, and provide scientific and technological support for the efficient utilization of renewable energy.

By 2030, significantly enhance independent innovation in energy technologies, facilitate the orderly replacement of fossil fuels, and promote a green, low-carbon, safe, and efficient transformation of the energy system.

2023 Implementation Plan for Further Improving the Market-Oriented Green Technology Innovation System (2023–2025)

Focusing on areas such as energy conservation and green, low-carbon transformation, pollution control, resource conservation and efficient, circular utilization, the re-engineering of low-carbon and zero-carbon industrial processes, carbon sequestration and enhancement in ecosystems, negative carbon initiatives, and greenhouse gas emission reduction, we will guide all relevant stakeholders to engage in green technology innovation.

Increase government procurement of green products and improve the green product certification and labeling system, among other measures.

Objective

By 2030, carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP will be reduced by more than 65% compared with 2005 levels.
In 2022, global carbon emissions from fossil fuels totaled 36.6 billion tonnes, with China accounting for 11.4 billion tonnes, the United States 5.9 billion tonnes, India 2.9 billion tonnes, and the European Union 2.8 billion tonnes.

Carbon emissions

Absorbing atmospheric carbon dioxide to achieve carbon emission reduction

The utilization of plant resources is close to achieving “carbon neutrality,” and with appropriate technologies, it can even become a “negative-carbon” process.

Cutting fluids that do not contain mineral oil can effectively reduce carbon emissions by incorporating bio-based, plant-oil–derived additives, making this an inevitable trend for the future.
