Precautions
How to use
1. Parts with surface contamination such as oil or iron filings shall first be thoroughly cleaned in gasoline or a surfactant solution, followed by water rinsing and then immersion in dehydrating oil. For surfaces contaminated with heat-treatment salts or grinding compounds, these can be removed by washing in an aqueous cleaning solution, followed by water rinsing and subsequent immersion in dehydrating oil for dehydration. The immersion time in the dehydrating oil should be one minute, and the parts should be periodically vibrated. Special attention should be paid to turning and shaking parts with pores or blind-hole cavities to ensure thorough dehydration.
2. The bottom of the oil sump shall be conically shaped and equipped with a valve for the periodic removal of water and other contaminants that accumulate at the bottom. In addition, a removable mesh or perforated shallow tray shall be installed at a specified distance from the bottom of the oil sump, with the clearance between the tray and the water surface not less than 50–100 mm.
